Posted by I can’t say I’m sorry for 2012 to come to an end – it’s been a tough year on several levels. But 2013 is sitting there just waiting for us, all shiny, bright…and full of great books!
And to start the year off right (and hot!), Harlequin has a treat in store for Blaze readers–scorching new covers!!! Yes, we’ve changed the Blaze packaging again, and this time, the covers really show just
pwhat’s going on between the pages.

We start off the year with another first of twelve new installments in the Uniformly Hot! miniseries, THE RISK-TAKER by Kira Sinclair. Ranger Gage Sinclair isn’t a hero, although everyone in his small town believes he is. It’s going to take the girl he could never have to show him that sometimes, being a hero is a little complicated. This book links loosely to Rhonda Nelson’s THE RULE-BREAKER in April. Enjoy!
Next up is Blaze classic – a Wrong Bed novel. This miniseries has been going strong for more than 15 years, and there’s no stopping anytime soon. In Jo Leigh’s LYING IN BED, two FBI agents are looking for a blackmailer at a couples’ resort. Who’d ever guess that they’d need to spend less time undercover and more timeto get the job done…
Samantha Hunter finishes up this installment of The Berringers this month with HIS KIND OF TROUBLE. Bodyguard Chance Berringer is no stranger to danger. But protecting celebrity chef Ana Perez is going to test his mettle, on every level. Hot, hot, hot!
Katherine Garbera returns to Blaze after a long hiatus with the first of two linked books, ONE MORE KISS. Alysse Dresden is happy with her life (well, sort of), until her former husband of one week, Marine Corps ace Jay Mitchener, shows up on her doorstep asking for another chance. And he can be very convincing. Look for Katherine’s linked story, SIZZLE, coming in March.
For all of you who love The Big Easy, Jillian Burns has a treat in store for you this month. RELENTLESS SEDUCTION has it all – a New Orleans setting, a girl next door heroine who’s looking for her friend, and a hot guy who makes her forget everything else.
And finally, Meg Maguire ends the month with her second Blaze book, THE WEDDING FLING. When a girl finds out her fiance is only marrying her for her money, what’s she to do? If she’s anything like actress Leigh Bailey, she goes on her honeymoon anyway…and hooks up with the sexy piloto who takes her there. This book got a coveted 4 1/2 stars from Romantic Times magazine.
What a great way to start off the New Year! And for those of you who are making the resolution to make more time for yourself, I can’t recommend Blaze books more. Scrapbook more (I’m only up to 1992 right now) and finish my mending pile!
Happy New Year to everyone, and many thanks, Brenda, for sharing so many great books every month with us. I hope your 2013 is MUCH better than your 2012.
Wow – those covers are hot! I’m usually more interested in what’s between the covers (so to speak) than what’s on them, but those are great!
What am I going to do differently these next 12 months? Focus. Whatever I am doing, I am going to try to focus on it, rather than letting all the other things I should/could/want to/have to be doing cloud my attention and cause me to be so distracted.
Well then, these books are right up my alley because I’m going to read more! 2012 was a tough year for me too. Life tended to want it’s own way on so many different levels and wouldn’t take no for an answer. I challenged myself to read 125 books; ha! I made it to 46. This year, no challenge, just enjoy the written words of gifted authors.

Well I’m going to once again try and eat healthier and lose some weight. We will see how that goes.
Going to do differently? Try to not let the negativity from the people I work with get under my skin.

I am going to do more things that make me happy and not sweat the small the stuff so much.
Life is too short to worry. I want to just slow down and do what I want to do. If I want to stay home and read all day that is what I will do. So much pressure thinking you have to attend all these functions but the simple tasks are just as enjoyable. I want to return to keeping life simple and easy.
