Hello, everyone!  I hope your New Year is off to an amazing start and that your holiday season was lovely.  No complaints here—I got lots of good stuff for Christmas.  Money from Dad, warm flannel “granny” gowns from Mom, a nice fireplace/entertainment center from my hubby and books and candy from the kids. (In preparation for the inevitable diet, I ate all of the candy prior to January 1st. :D )

I’m not a big fan of resolutions, but I do like to set goals for each new year.  I’ve got lots of lofty ones on the list for 2013—both personal and professional—and instead of filing the list away to revisit on December 31st to see how I’ve done, I’ve posted them on the wall of my office, right where I can see them all the time.  I’m hoping this leads to more productivity.  We shall see.

What about you?  Best Christmas present?  Any new goals?  (I’ve got “write more books, lose 15lbs and paint the ceilings” on mine. Exciting stuff, right? :) )

    Best Christmas present – I won about 14 books from Harlequin Community’s Open House! One was The Risk-Taker by Kira Sinclair and I LOVED it.

    We draw names in my family so I don’t get a lot of presents. The person who had my name got me a plush bath robe. It keeps me nice and warm when I get up in the middle of the night and veg out on the internet.

    I also won quite a few books on the Harlequin Open House. I really love getting autographed books.

    My word for 2013 is determination. I determined to get organized, lose some weight and phone people more often.

      I meant to tell you I loved the Anderson twins in The Professional and His First Noelle. The covers were wonderful eye candy. I loved how closely connected the twins were.

        Thanks! Those books were a joy to write and those twins were definitely two of my all-time favorite heroes. Glad you enjoyed the books!

      Kaelee, I could definitely do better about calling people. I need to add that one to my list. Thanks!

    Hi Rhonda! We had a crazy Christmas here. I got lots of goodies. My two favorite were from my 12 year old and my hubby. My 12 year old got me fake flowers, lol! He said its so I can’t kill them cause lord knows I kill almost all plants that come into my house, lol! The one from my hubby was a beautiful Love’s Embrace necklace. It is beautiful and I love it. I told him now he need to get me earrings to match it, lol!

    Have a wonderful night!!! :D

      Alina, presents from the kids are always so sweet because you know that they really put some thought into it. Hubby’s, too, of course, but I think the older we get the harder we are to surprise. It’s never that way with kids, lol.

    I’m trying to learn how to cook French food. I’ve also gone “vegetarian”, but with fish ( fishetarian?).

    Got lots of presents, my favorite was a candle made by adults with autism (oldest has autism, so it’s a special cause for me—I’m trying to figure out what’s the next step for him, eventually).

    I actually don’t have any goals set for 2013 at this stage. I’m certain that some will turn up along the way.

  6. Rhonda;
    I’ve got all kinds of goals for 2013 including “write everyday” instead of binge writing, walk every day, eat healthy.

    My best present…well I got three I really adore one was a Beauty and the Beast scarf from my daughter, next was the Les Mis 10th anniversary DVD from my son, and lastly was a cozy bathrobe from my hubby. :)

      Kathy, I know exactly where you’re coming from on the binge writing. My process has changed over the years and it’s taking me longer on the front–which was always the most difficult for me–then the back end usually comes faster than I can type.
