Vivian Leigh did a great job in the movie, but Margaret Mitchell's version was even more tough, conniving, and strangely vulnerable than on screen. She did whatever she had to in order to survive (or to get Ashley to notice her) including shooting a Yankee soldier and hoeing cotton. And let's not even start on her fashion sense. She was wearing curtains before they were the next new thing! In more recent/modern tv -- I adore Anna Torv/Agent Dunham on Fringe. That chick is one heck of a shot with a revolver. She never misses. I sort of tripped over Charmed and Dangerous, I had never read anything of yours before now, but had recognized your name from the witchy chicks page, and it sounded interesting, so I picked it up devoured it in two days and have been hooked ever since. Ive spent the last five hours with my nose in Charmed and Ready, and only came out here to stretch, get a drink, and order Charmed and Deadly online. Off the cuff id say one of my current favorites is Kim Harrison's Hollows series with Rachel Morgan. loooove those too.
