Hi, Lori & Tony, Happy 4th, & belated happy 22nd! Already ordered UNBRIDLED from eHq. (still to be delivered) Glad to hear it's a return to an "attorney" storyline. As you may remember, loved the "Legal Brief" mini. Really appreciate Hq.'s "Upcoming Books" procedure (actually, suggested it several times before it was implemented); love that you can pay by check after receiving books.

Am looking forward to all your Blazes working through the system.

Be well & hugs to you both,

Just back from a ride in Lucille (my '99 candy apple red, drop top Mustand GT) and Etta James is still whispering in my year. Ah, yes...

Thumbs up, Sam. Plz do let me know if you find a recipe. We have a great place here where we get a good brand of pita fresh, but if it's easy I might try to make 'em. Then again, I'm more of a sweets baker. Although the baklava is all Tony.

I do make tzatziki sauce, yes -- we like to have chicken with that and the cucumber, tomato salad, and sometimes falafel.

I'm definitely trying out the baklava... ;)

Thanks for the tip on the pitas! I may look for a recipe, and I'll let you know...

(C) I spent all day yesterday cooking ribs in the oven (BTW they were falling off the bone by the time hubby finished them off on the grill) He didn't have to put them on the grill but it gave them a smoky flavor. BTW he put BBQ sauce on the first rack and got distracted and burned the outside! UGH! But the other two turned out FAB!

Last night I started my pinto beans cooking in the slow cooker overnight and they smell and taste pretty good if I do say so myself! :-D

Thank God my mom is making the potato salad be cause this is one thing I NEVER learned to make! Whenever I make it, my family groans :-O and says "OH GOD she made potato salad again! Dad Do we have to eat it? LOL :-P

I know my limitations and potato salad falls right in there! Not going to torcher the family this year! :-D LOL

Happy fourth all!

Nope, Sam, no recipe for homemade pita. (Funny you should ask, thou! We flicked to Drive-in's, Diners & Dives during a commercial last night and a cook was making - frying - thick tortillas that looked like pitas! Didn't catch the ingredients, thou. And I certainly wouldn't fry 'em.)

What you can do to freshen up the store bought stuff is lightly brush both sides with olive oil (plain virgin is okay), sprinkle them with Greek oregano and crisp them up slightly on the grill right before serving. Makes them far more appetizing.

Do you make tzatziki aka cucumber-garlic sauce? I love just dipping warmed pita wedges straight into it like a dip. Yum! Of course, everyone needs to eat it or you'll have a lot of people backing away from your monster garlic breath. lol ;-)
