As much as I hate to admit it, summer’s just about over. The kids are back in school and life is beginning to settle down. Still, I love September. The nights are cooling off, the scents of fall are already in the wind, and there’s a sense of starting over, that old back-to- school mindset, that has me itching to do something new (trying my hand at wildlife photography is on my to-do list this month).

Still, we can’t lose sight of the things we love. Like Blaze books. So check out all the great new titles we have for you this month…

  1. “I Blazed my Way through Summer”

I definitely Blazed my way through summer! My life is crazy but my book shelves are lined in RED!!! Can’t get enough of these ladies and their sexy heros.

Thanks a ton for bringing them to us!

I blazed my way through summer in broiling hot Arizona. But I was in Tucson, which usually can be counted on to be about 5 degrees cooler than Phoenix.

The something new I’m going to try? Moving to Phoenix. I’ll need a few books to brighten up the place and help me feel settled. :-)

  3. Linda Henderson says:

“I Blazed My Way Through Summer” and I’m going to keep the fire going in the fall. I love the Blaze line. They have it all, romance, humor and lets not forget the sex. Keep on Blazin’.

I Blazed my Way through Summer! :) Well, Blazed as much as one could, we had that no-summer summer here. . . heck, right now it’s awfully fall like and it’s been that way for the past couple days. We did have a tough to get through since we’re not used it to warmer and humid phase during the beginning of August, the normal NJ summer type of thing, but it’s nice and gone now. Strange stuff, but anyhoo. . . trying something new, though, as far as I know, at present, there’s nothing new on the agenda! LOL Well, today is a new day. Perhaps that counts. :)

    • Brenda says:

      Hi Lois,

We had the same kind of summer – one week in August. I’m hoping that Indian summer lasts a little longer just to make up for it.

      Thanks for your support.

  5. Laney4 says:

Sure, I Blazed my way through summer. Didn’t everybody? I just love how Blazes are exactly the right length so I don’t have to stay up all night trying to get to the end of the book! I can still “have a life” but feel the Blazes are the icing on top!

As for my plans, reading wise, I am going to try to read a paranormal romance. I’ve edged away from them for ages now, but since I enjoy all types of romances otherwise, it is time. I am quite hesitant, mind you, but as long as I stay away from werewolves, I hope I fare well. Thankfully, Blazes will be waiting for me afterward….

Have a great day and thanks for offering such an extravagant giveaway!

  6. Nicole S says:

Well I’m sad to see summer go because no more summer nights at the ball park. Now I’ve got my birthday to look forward to and I’m leaving for FL on the 10th for 10 days. My first ever vacation, I;m really excited about going. Plus cool nights are great for curling up on the couch to enjoy a book.

  7. Hi Brenda,
Doesn’t everyone Blaze their way through summer? And Spring, Fall and Winter too? There’s a Blaze for every season, LOL!

Wildlife photography will be a great way to stretch the creativity. I’ve already seen some Canada Geese flying in the Vee formation and yes, heading south. A couple of times I’ve wanted to holler, “Stop! don’t take Summer with you!” But I doubt they care…they’re off for winter vacation.

Me, I’ll be teaching some writing classes in the Fall. I always enjoy the challenge.

Off to tweet on Twitter about your day here today.

Time for coffee — I just posted my comment to the wrong blog post. I’d call it a senior moment but I think it’s just general klutziness. Let me try again:

Hi Brenda! Hi Tawny! Wow, there are some great books in that line-up. I’m always complaining about the immensity of my scary TBR pile, but it’s books like these that make me keep going back for more. I wish I could read faster, but when the book is good, I never want it to end!

  9. Colleen says:

I Blazed my Way through Summer!!!! But then I can always find a terrific read from Blaze any season! As for anything new, I have been wanting to try out some dessert recipes… we will see how they turn out! :-D

  10. Brit Blaise says:

I didn’t do much “blazing” this summer, but had a few really great family outings. I’m looking forward to a “blazing’ colorful autumn and more lazy days in the hammock strung between two massive trees. It’s my favorite reading place.

    Brit

  11. Summer is a complete blur for me. It went by so fast. But I had a great time with you guys in D.C. and I’ll never forget that Harlequin party. That was awesome.

I’m heading to Amazon now to buy the new Blazes!

  12. Julie Harrington says:

I Blazed my Way through Summer here in Chicago. :) It’s been so unseasonably nice here. August? 65 degrees?! Impossible! And yet, we had a good solid week of it. So nice. It prepped me for the coming Fall. Love that.

As for new things, let’s see. I seriously thought about moving to Minnesota. I think that’s a change. Didn’t work out, but it wasn’t really on my end. If give the chance, I’d have done it. The change felt challenging and rewarding and sometimes I just itch to get on the road and go! Ah well. Maybe my next “itch” will be somewhere tropical and warm with cute cabana boys. ;)

I plan on tackling my digital camera and learning to use that to all its advantages. I want to find a slew of new recipes for the fall and winter. Paint my house and change the colors! I’m so ready for change, it’s not even funny. Oh, and my hair. My goodness, my hairstyle. Now there’s something new I’m ready for.

    Julie

  13. Patsy L Roberts says:

    (H) Oh wow I can honestly say that I Blazed my Way through Summer! Since my kiddos are all grown women, I spend my days running my G ma and mother in law around. While they are in doctors appointments or just shopping at Wal Mart I sit and read. I guess that is how I read over 200 books in the past 12 months! LOL ;-)

I plan on Blazing my way through Fall and Winter and while not doing that, I am going to be writing and house breaking two puppies (Rudy & Bruno) As most know Rudy aka Rudolf Valentino and Bruno, Named for a SEP character from Match me if you can, are my 14 week old puppies of unknown heritage (rescue dogs) They are starting to develop their own personalities(some good, some bad) (&) Rudy is starting to look like a blood hound while his brother Bruno looks more like a collie.

We (my youngest hubby and I) are getting ready to go to Galveston, Texas in a week and a half and since I don’t have to drive this time I am going to read along the 12 hour trip there!

:-) I hope everyone has a great rest of the summer time, it’s almost over! (D)

    • Patsy, I have a new pup as well! My standard poodle, we called Jackson (no reason, we just liked the name) I thought we were finished with the piddle stage, but nope, not quite yet.

I’ve just written a short passage about my last dog in my wip…it’s nice to be able to keep his memory that way.

Jackson, the pup, should make an appearance in a Blaze soon! (&) (K)

      Bonnie

      • Patsy L Roberts says:

        (Y) (Y) I said “NO MORE DOGS” Hubby took one look at those guys and they batted their big brown eyes at him and he was a goner then he brought them to me(Flea ridden… and I do mean flea ridden hundreds of them) and I was as big a push over as he was! LOL ;-)
I can’t wait for the appearence of Jackson, You’ll have to keep me updated on his grand appearence! :-D

      • Patsy L Roberts says:

        BTW… what is WIP?

  14. We had such success with vegetables in the spring, we’re planting a fall garden. We’ve never done that before.

  15. jody Allen says:

well of course i “blazed my way through summer” trying to keep a five year old occupied, which was easy a couple weeks ago when we took him to myrtle beach for the first time. He loved the water and giant sandbox of course. I tried out my digital camera at beach sunrise pictures, and got some great shots. good luck with the wildlife photography, good luck at being quiet enough to get the good shots. i have a problem with that lol!
as for something new in septermber, im going to do my best at figuring out the template i have to get my website up and running. fingers crossed.
    happy reading ladies.
    jody

  16. Janice Lynn says:

Trying something new…it seems like I’m always trying something new. This summer I planted a huge garden and have canned & frozen food like crazy–tomatoes, pickles, corn, peppers, squash–you name it. :) To do that much was definitely a first for me.

I blazed through the rest of my summer with camping trips, canoeing, rafting, inner-tubing trips, baseball & softball. Lots of fun!

I guess my current “new thing” would be trying to figure out the college thing from the mother of a senior in high school perspective. Ack!

  17. Fedora says:

Well, while I’d like to say that I Blazed My Way Through Summer, it’s more like summer blazed its way through me! Where did it go??

Starting tomorrow, all my kids will be in school at least part of the day, so I’m going to be trying to see whether I can truly get traction on clearing the junk out and then we’ll see whether I need to get a job to support my book habit! :D

  18. Hope Tarr says:

Summer totally blazed by me, too. And yes, Brenda, I love September, too but then fall is my spring.

New stuffs? I just started ramping up for my December release, TWELVE NIGHTS, with a new September monthly contest at hopetarr.com. Giveaways are the best of both worlds: an historical and contemporary from my Blaze backlist.

Wildlife photographer sounds so cool. I’m relearning Aikido, the supposedly “gentle” martial art.

    Hope (@)

    • Brenda says:

      Hi Hope,

I love the martial arts. I restarted karate lessons…but the commute didn’t allow for classes 3 times a week. Bummer.

Is the the place for me to tell everybody what an absolutely fantastic story Twelve Nights is??? ;-)

  19. Jane says:

I Blazed my Way through Summer. I’ve enjoying the Uniformly Hot books. No exciting plans for me. I’m going to be busy figuring when and how to put away the summer clothes and whip out the jackets and sweaters.

  21. Jenna Allen says:

I Blazed my way through summer by moving…trust me, Blaze was a trusted friend when I needed a break from my mismatched reality!

  22. Jody F. says:

“I Blazed my Way through Summer” which is probably why it went by so quickly. I’m actually hoping to get some last minute canning done (with my mom’s help, since she is the queen of do-it-yourself), start Christmas shopping, and read a ton more books.

  23. Helen says:

    Hi All
    These books sound really great
I could say I blazed my way through Summer but here in Australia it was winter but I did read some fantastic blaze books.
It is starting to warm up over here and it looks like we are in for a hot dry summer time for me to turn the air con on and sit back with some great books to read.

    Have Fun
    Helen (H)

  24. Lisa N. says:

I Blazed my way through summer. I’m working on expanding my crafting skills and I’ve got several projects to make my way through in the next few months!

  25. Dottie says:

I blazed my way through summer all right, I pick up some new harlequins, as well as some to the free downlands too. It was only really hot here a couple of weeks this summer, but at least the air conditioning bills will be lower for the summer overall. It already feels like fall here, but I’m hoping for a few more weeks of warm weather.

    Dottie :)

  26. Maureen says:

I Blazed my Way through Summer! I am going to try to sew a quilt this fall.

  27. Paula R. says:

Hi Brenda and Tawny, like most everyone else here, I Blazed my way through summer, and I will continue to Blaze throughout the rest of the year. I love this line. Brenda, thank you very much for the part you play in bringing these authors to us.

Something new for me, would be actually working on a full-length novel versus a book of poetry. So that is the something new I am going to work on. I can’t believe that summer is almost over. I hope you have the longest Indian Summer ever.

    Peace and love,
    Paula R.

  28. flip says:

I blazed through the summer and read over 50 fifty books so far this year. I hope to blaze through more books this fall.

I would love to start taking yoga classes this fall.

  29. Lauren says:

I definitely “Blazed My Way Through Summer”, i went to a used book store and bought 10+ Blazes for a dollar each and i buy Blazes from my library as well. I’m just going to read more Blazes and Harlequin Historicals for the fall, and lots of Young Adult and Fantasy novels. I’ve definitely read at least 50+ books this, Blazes and regular books. I’m homeschooled, so no exciting plans there.

  30. Michele L. says:

Oh wow, I “Blazed My Way Through Summer” by hitting all the book sales everywhere! You should see my TBR pile! 200 plus books! Oh my! Plus a large part of it is blazing red! Lot’s of fantastic authors I have waiting for me.

The only thing new I tried this summer is a historical paranormal romance book by Sandy Blair. I can’t wait to buy her other books!

My summer went by so quickly! Actually, I don’t know where it went to. The last few weeks here have been cold and rainy. Just the last few days have gotten a little warmer and the sun came out. I hope we don’t have an early winter. How has your weather been Brenda?

My hubby grew some corn in our garden this year but put it in late so I sure hope we get some ears out of the plants before the summer is totally over. Did you plant a garden?

    Have a wonderful September! (*)

  31. Diana says:

I blazed my way through summer, my favorite season. I will miss you, summer!

Something new that I will try? Maybe not complaining about work so much?

  32. kh says:

i blazed my way through summer

    hot blze books
    so fast summer whow

  33. Cynthia says:

I always Blaze my way through everything! Books, mowing, cleaning the house and kennels… and of course what I do, training Police K9′s.
Summer has me as always, hot, sweaty and only clean for 5 min. after my shower, whenever that happens.
I always take my lunch inside with the A/C and a Blaze book though. It takes me away and
gives my brain a much needed VK.
I’ve got a question and hopefully someone can help.
There was a Blaze title within this last year that I felt was really well written and that I enjoyed very much. Of course I cannot remember the title or author. I donate my books after reading them to the local library, so I cannot go back and see.
The male character called the female Tink or Tinkerbell. They got caught up in a gypsy camp
I remember where I believe she was raised. I know not alot to go on, but if anyone clues in, please clue me in!
I’ve just joined Harlequin Ambassadors, so I hope to give my imput when asked.
Looking forward to goose bumps in Southern Kentucky.
    Cynthia

  34. Summer says:

I blazed my way through summer.

As for something new that I’ll try, does opening the fresh titles on my TBR list count?

  35. Liz Matis says:

I blazed my way through summer – reading, writing, and at the beach. The RWA Conference in DC was fun and beach days at Pt. Pleasant and Martells is better than any place around.

Maybe I’ll catch a day in September if I’m lucky along with some Blaze beach reads…

  36. Deidre says:

I loooove this time of year. The fall is the best, love Halloween, love the colors, the feel, the smells, the temperature. :-[

I have to get serious about my reading. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time between kids, a full time job and a hubby who doesn’t read himself, so therefore doesn’t understand my need for it. ;-(
