Have you ever had that moment when you just won’t do it.?  It doesn’t matter what it is, you just aren’t going to do it.  In fact, it is probably more than one thing, and you’re not going to do any of them.  I’m in a refusal stage right now.  I’m just not going to go over my revisions again.  I’m just not going to clean the fracking house.  I’m just not not not going to do anything but play www.pogo.com.  So there.

So…my question to you…what time waster do you look to when you’re just not going to do anything?

Currently, I’m playing computer monopoly.  I’m not even going to post this blog, I’m sending it to my assistant to post it.   I have also watched an entire weekend of Xena, Warrior Princess.  (And, I’m not going to look up the exact punctuation of that title either!)

Note from Jade’s devoted assistant: Jade will be returning to her revisions shortly. Just as soon as I disable her pogo account. Again.

  1. Ahhh, Rebellion. You must not be from the south, Jade. (H) Down here, us sweet southern ladies don’t rebel. We’re more devious. We employ the passive aggressive’s version of rebellion. It’s called Procrastination…
“Why, of course I’m definitely going to do that, hon. Just as soon as…

I’m going to be blogging about Procrastination tomorrow, actually. Or someday… ;-)

Oh crap…I forgot that Brenda reads this blog. Fine, fine, fine. I’ll go back to work. Ugh…I hate Mondays.

:-P You got caught red handed with your hand in the cookie jar as they say! LOL Those bosses are sharp you have to watch out for them… :-D

    (C) Facebook!!! LOL I spend way too much time on it anyway but when I am trying to avoid something I just go to Facebook and play. I could spend hours on there and not get a single other thing done. LOL ;-)

  5. What do I do when I refuse to do what I should do? I read a romance novel. Yup, the whole thing. I take my book of choice from my TBR shelf and plop down on the couch with a cup of tea and refuse to move until I have read that oh so satisfying HEA. But if I had the Xena Series or the Highlander Series I would do that too!

  6. Alas, someone on Twitter mentioned a free site for Tetris…I think I hate her now.

BUT, I’ve just deleted it from my google thumbnails so it’s harder to get to. I may have to click more than twice so it’s a strain to get there.

Good luck on the revisions! :-)

Kim wasn’t kidding when she threatened to delete my pogo.com account. I’m allowing myself a game of tri-peaks solitaire between scenes…

I’m with Patsy, I go to facebook. Lots to do on there. My cousin has me hooked on some of the games so whenever I just don’t want to do something I can waste a lot of time on facebook.

There are so many ways to procrastinate. I have a habit of visiting Facebook or just generally surfing the net when I’m supposed to be studying. Given that I have to use the internet when I’m studying from home its not easily fixed. If I’m not using the computer then its reading a romance – it doesn’t even have to be one from my TBR pile, it can be rereading something that is on my keeper shelf. Watching DVDs is a good time waster for me as well.

My favorite procrastination device if Farmville that I play on FaceBook. Nothing can kill the hours like planting and harvesting new crops and visiting your neighbors to pull weeds and chase off foxes. :)
