Wow, is it the first of the month again already? It just seems like yesterday I was telling you about all the hot summer books you needed to pack in your beach bag. Well, the beach might be out, but what’s a chilly night by the fire without a Blaze book to warm you up?
We have a fantastic November line-up for you:

First up is a personal favorite of mine – More Blazing Bedtime Stories by Julie Leto and Leslie Kelly. Trust me, you’ll never look at a book of fairy tales in the same way again. Both stories are so much fun that I even got a note from the copyeditor, telling me how brilliant I was for buying it. So, if you buy it, you can be brilliant too.

Nancy Warren is next up with Power Play. This Forbidden Fantasy introduces the kind of hero we Canadians would love to get our hands on – a hot hockey player.
Multi-published Michelle Rowen makes her Blaze debut this month with Hot Spell. What happens when two feuding paranormal investigators find themselves the victim of an instant lust enchantment? A lot of great sex, that’s what!

In the third book of the Dressed to Thrill miniseries, Hold on to the Nights, Karen Foley’s heroine, Lara Whitfield has a real challenge on her hands – she has to tell her former husband that they’re still married. Unfortunately, she has to do it…dressed as Princess Leia.

Jill Monroe has the Uniformly Hot! book this month with SEALed and Delivered. The hero, of course, is a Navy SEAL. Do I really need to say anything more?
And Lori Wilde finishes up the month with the wildly exotic, Zero Control. Her characters, Roxie Stanley and Dougal Lockhart, might have different agendas when they fly Eros Airlines. But at least they have great sex in common….
Did you know that November 1st is considered to be the Celtic New Year? Personally, I love the idea of fresh starts and new beginnings. (You can tell I have a few bad habits I badly need to shake.) So I take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way.
Since my family hails from the British Isles, I figure I should start thinking about resolutions now. If I don’t get my act together right away, I can always start again on January 1st. Then, if the winter blahs kill my enthusiasm, I still have one more shot –Chinese New Year. Since that’s my husband’s heritage, I figure it’s fair game. And if that doesn’t work, I’ve even been known to wait until my birthday in February, since that’s my own personal new year. There’s nothing like making resolutions with a good contingency plan in place.
So, is anybody else making resolutions this early? I have one I’d like to suggest. How about we all decide that we’re going to relax this holiday season, and not get stressed out about the things that don’t matter. And, just to get everybody starting off on the right foot, I suggest we all grab the November books, sit by the fire and simply indulge. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
If you’d like a chance to win a set of the November books, just add the phrase “I’m going to chill…in a very hot way” into the comment field.
Good luck!

“I’m going to chill…in a very hot way†with you November BLAZE books!!
All of them sound fantastic!! I’d love to read them all!!
Hey Brenda, how are you? I already have all the hot books of November in my TBR pile. I am so lucky because a lot of my fav Blaze authors are in the line up. Okay, okay, a majority of my fav authors nowadays write for the Blaze line. I haven’t even thought about resolutions yet, but the one that comes to mind now is to get my but in gear and write more. I am doing NaNoWriMo this year, and I am a little nervous, but it is a start. I might be able to fulfill that resolution and get a do over in January. I hope you had a great Halloween. Have a great day. Gotta get going on my NaNo project.
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Good luck with your project. Just wondering though, what is NaNoWriMo? (You can tell I’m not a writer, can’t you?)
NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month – its a mondo book in a month that has a major following. The idea is to write a novel in one month – no editing, no revising, just write.
Personally, I can’t do it. I go nuts if I can’t revise
But I’m always in awe of the people who do every year.
It is really hard, especially for a newbie writer. I think that it is a great exercise though. If I do make the 50K mark, it shows that I can sit and write a full length novel. This is my first attempt at one. I usually write poetry. It is a test for me.
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Thank you very much, Brenda. I love the sound of your cottage. Must be an ideal place, especially for writers, even though you don’t “write,” I am sure you could probably pen a wonderful tale. Look at all the wonderful authors you know. Just think about what convinces you to buy their books and there you go. I know it is not that easy.
Pece and love,
Paula R.
I’m going to chill, in a very hot way. They all look like a bunch of great reads!
Another great bunch of books from those amazing Blaze authors. “I’m going to chill…in a very hot way.” I can’t wait to read them.
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way with all the great looking books coming out.
Hmmm… look at those covers!!! As always the books sounds wonderful… This holiday season… I’m going to chill…in a very hot way!!!
Some really good ones coming out this month! Really looking forward to More Blazing Bedtime Stories. I love the cover, who wouldn’t like a guy wearing only a towel.
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way by reading some blazes this holiday season.
Oh man, two of my favorite topics. Blaze books and resolutions!! I’m a goal setting geek so resolutions are right up my alley.
I always set them at Halloween – I have this theory that all the willpower in the world is being called on in January, so this way I get to access that unused willpower and get a jumpstart on my goals.
Well, that and exercise equipment is cheaper in November than in the National Everyone’s Trying to Get in Shape Month – aka January
Hey Tawny, I like your idea. Set them now, when everything is cheaper and the power sources are still maxed out on the plus side. Youknow, I never really set resolutions; I never seem to stick to them, but I try to make lists of everything I want to get done. That doesn’t always wrok, but at least I tried…lol…
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Paula, I’m big on lists too. And my goals/resolutions? They’re usually an ongoing thing. I don’t put a ‘have it done by XXX’ date on them if I can help it. The only deadline I seem to pay any real attention to is the one Brenda gives me
See Tawny – you’ve been following the Celtic New Year all along!
I just like having all these opportunities for fresh starts because I’m absolutely horrible at starting anything. It’s all part of being an Aquarian, I think. By the time I dig up the willpower to do something, my attention’s diverted somewhere else.
And, like you, getting in shape is always on my resolution list.
LOL Brenda… I hear you. I have so many half-started projects and so few finished ones. Scrapbooks, knitted blankets, exercise regimes. I think the only thing I am guaranteed to complete is a book. My issue is more ADD, although maybe its a Pisces dreamer thing, too?
But hey, in keeping with my resolution, I went out today and had that special shoe fitting (they do a pressure test of both feet and have you run on the treadmill to access how the foot works and what it needs for support and comfort). I haven’t tried to run since I broke my foot, but its my favorite exercise so this is my big push to get motivated.
I recently made a resolution to not procrastinate as much. Seeing as how I have a lot more on my plate beginning this month I sure hope I can stick to it.
Love your plan for taking the stress out of the holidays. In fact, I think I’ll start today. I just happen to have some terrific November releases sitting right here on my desk!
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way!
~PJ
I like your plan, Brenda, for having multiple chances to make–and keep–resolutions.
I definitely learn to stress less, and staying on top of my many tasks and not procrastinating (my very bad habit) will help with that.
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way! And reading a Blaze book, is a perfect place to start.
~Gannon
I’m going to chill… in a very hot way. I always have a Blaze book in hand or one in audiobook for the car. My Celtic New Year’s resolution is to celebrate it in Scotland very soon! Wouldn’t that be fun, and then I could have TWO celebrations.
Looks like a great line-up of books. Can’t wait.
I have books by just about all of the authors you mentioned in my keeper pile. Since I read a LOT and only keep my absolute favorites, it looks like I’ll be buying a lot of Blazes this month!
“I’m going to chill…in a very hot wayâ€!!!! I love Blaze Books Reading a Historical Blaze right now.
These books sound so good
But here in Australia it is hotting up I miss the cooler weather already I need to think about making some resolutions I will keep thinking but I do love the idea of not getting stressed over the holiday season I am already thinking about all that I have to do !!
I am going to chill in a very hot way
Have Fun
Helen
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way – and I am going to relax and enjoy the holidays. We have a wood stove and a warm blanket to snuggle under so reading sounds a perfect place to relax in the afternoon. My computer calls and my characters knock to get out, but sometimes a girl just has to chill and read.
Great covers – all of them!!!!!
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way!! I love Blaze books, and the November releases look very hot!
Diana
I’m going to chillin a very hot way
And I sure will with that list of hot books! OMG Michelle Rowens’ Hot Spell ___ AWESOME! Can’t wait this new side to her writing (love the Immortality Bites Series)
Could do with something to heat up these MN, bitter cold winters, and these books sound just the job.
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way!
Well, I do not make any resolutions. . . but guess I will for this year. . . I resolve to read more books!

“I’m going to chill…in a very hot wayâ€
I am SOOO gonna chill… in a very hott way!!! Just bought the Julie Leto anthol @ Borders Fri. night!!! Grat contest!!! Thanks, Sue
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way. I think I need to start shopping for gifts now before the stores get all crowded and crazy.
“I’m going to chill…in a very hot way” – I agree with the previous posters in that these books are worth chillin’ for. They will definitely heat you up.
I love Tawny’s idea of setting resolutions at Halloween. Since it’s my favorite holiday, that makes perfect sense. But I agree, Brenda…this holiday season, I’m going to try very hard not to get stressed about the little stuff, and more of it is little stuff than I’d like to admit. Heck, I may go hog-wild and try that all year.
Oh, and no need to enter me in the contest…I’ll be picking up all the November releases. So many great ones!
I can’t wait to read the November Books, they look really hot!!!!
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way
Hi everyone,
Sorry I’m late to the party. Weekends are always busy this time of year. My husband and I were at the cottage, getting it ready for winter. We use it all year round, so we need to be sure there’s dry firewood handy, the heat is on inside and in the crawl space (so the pipes don’t freeze), and all possible rodent entryways have been filled. I like mice…but not in the house.
How was everybody else celebrating New Year’s????
What a bunch of great books. I’m going to have my birthday in the middle of this month. I’m (absolutely) going to chill…in a very hot way !
Wow! You sure do offer great books for us to read. You betcha I’m going to chill…in a very hot way”. Apparently it will be Blazing hot! That’s the best kind! Thanks so much!
Just realized I didn’t mention about resolutions, etc. Oops!
I don’t make plans as of a specific date like Jan 1. I start immediately. I may not always follow through as much as I’d like, but I keep hammering away at it. Case in point: losing weight. I have given up pop for up to six months before but still went back to it. This is my third time abstaining, but I KNOW I won’t go back to it. I’m too old for that nonsense. I have also given up nighttime snacks. It took me awhile to finally not miss them, but I’m doing it. This time around, though, I’ve cut back on my portions at mealtime too. I’m now eating 3/4 or 2/3 or even 1/2 of a dinner plate (because I refuse to use a bread-and-butter plate instead). It has taken awhile for my body to adjust, but I AM adjusting. I have kicked up my exercising from two nights a week to four or five nights, and I’ve tried to walk at a brisker pace during my morning walks. They all help. I’ve lost 15 pounds since Aug 15/09 and have lots more to go, but I’m doing it one pound at a time. If anything, THAT would be my resolution: whatever I want to do, do it in moderation and JUST DO IT! Whether it be to patch/sew one item in my mending pile every day or every other day, or whether it be to add a page to my scrapbooks, JUST DO IT!
Good luck.
BTW, as you know, I’m going to (still) chill…in a very hot way – but apparently it’ll be in a moderate fashion, ha ha! Thanks for providing all the rewards for my efforts!
Have a good evening….
Hmm, resolutions. i always make the same ones every year and never stick to them. But i like the way youo think, starting with the canadian new year, then our new year, and if that doesnt work your birht new year.
I like that idea and think since im an aquarius as well i’ll adopt your style. it will kick in one of them right?? well lets hope so.
My main resolution is to get organized, if i can get the mess that is my office in order, everything else will be so much easier.
You can see my desk and my cork board easily, everything else is somewhat controlled chaos, okay so ne really controlled, just chaos.
happy writing, and reading of course’
I plan to chill….in a very hot way.
Blaze books are steamin!
keep em comin

Hi Brenda- great post! I love Blaze books – it’s one of my favorite HQN lines, and a number of my favorite authors have new releases coming out this month as well. Yay November!
So yes, definitely “I’m going to chill…in a very hot wayâ€
“I’m going to chill…in a very hot way†this holiday season.
The family made the agreement a few years ago — no more stressing! So we eat out for the holidays, we get together the week before (or after) to exchange gifts, etc., and when the actual holiday comes we spend it as we want. That usually ends up being a nice, quiet day at home in a warm robe and slippers watching movie marathons or hitting the move theater. No stress. No fuss. No muss. I actually look forward to the holidays now.
Julie
“I’m going to chill… in a very (blazing) hot way! Ooo….love the books coming out! Definitely blazing hot making them fan favorites! I can’t think of a better way to relax than with a HQN Blaze book in my hand in front of roaring fire on a cold November night. I am so not looking forward to winter! Sigh….
My resolution this year will be to eat less chips and candy and exercise more. I have slacked off in the exercise dept. seriously and as a result packed on pounds. Not good! I need to jump start my new year off right with a plan of attack on this unwanted weight. Power to all of us women! Go sisters go!
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way!
Well, that was weird. I wonder why it did that?
It’s because you “cut and pasted”. I’ve had that happen a lot too, so now I type it in instead. Apparently the program doesn’t like the cut-and-pasted punctuation (apostrophe or dots in a row). Bummer!
Good to know you’re going to chill in a very hot way, though! It must be BLAZING hot, as there’s a lot of us chillin’!!!

Another glitch. I thought I deleted the original entry and it showed it gone on MY screen, but apparently it’s still there. Jeesh!
damn these look great. love blaze and these hot ones ar ethe bomb
cant wiat
I am going to chill in a very hot way. All these books sound wonderful.
Hi Brenda, I enjoyed your post. My resolution was originally to participate in NaNo this year but I am working on my requested full Blaze so I need to focus on that! Right? My last year’s resolution was to get to the dentist – I loathe going to the dentist like you wouldn’t believe and well, it had been awhile. Sounds kind of gross and not at all interesting but I did it! This coming year it will be to clean out my office. I have a beautiful office that somehow ended up the junk room after our 2 year house renovation project. It is the only thing I haven’t finished and there is a gorgeous desk in there (somewhere) where I will create hot, steaming blazing reads one day!!!
I am going to chill in a very hot way – always love to do more ‘research’
I just downloaded all the November books to my Kindle. Can’t wait to read them!!!
I’m going to chill… in a very hot way. These Blaze titles sound like the perfect antidote for cold winter nights.
I’m going to chill… in a very hot way! Relaxing and enjoying the holidays sounds good to me.
i hope i’m not too late!
i’m going to chill… in a very hot way!
I love, LOVE Blaze!

Wow, look at that line up! I’m going to chill…in a very hot way, that goes without saying! But I’ll say it anyway
These books sound great!
I have a bad cold, but I’m going to chill…in a very hot way to the best of my ability.
Wow, that’s a lot of great looking covers!
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way
I’m going to chill…in a very hot way. All of these sounds like great books and I can’t wait to read them!
Not sure if I’m too late. I’m going to chill…in a very hot way!
