The Graduate

See the picture? That’s my son getting his diploma from the University of Texas–the same UT who’s playing Alabama tonight for the national championship in football, but that’s not the point. (Unless you’re a Longhorn, which I am not.) The point is, I am done! Done, done, done! I have just checked “raise son to adulthood” off my list. He is raised. Break out the champagne! I did the best I could and now I’m sending him out into the world where I hope he’s hugely successful and sells like gangbusters. Oh, wait. He’s Just this once . . . HOOK ‘EM HORNS!
Anyone else going to watch the game?

Congrats to your son on graduating! That is very exciting! I still have many many years before my kids get anywhere near college, but my husband will graduate next year with his bachlors, then hes off to law school. I am so proud of him that I can just imagine how it feels when its your child. As for the game, I probably wont be watching, my mom and I are having a Ghost Whisperer marathon tonight, lol! She has me addicted! Have a great day!!
Good luck to your hubby! And to you, because it’s hard to have a spouse/parent in school. They need study time and you’ve got to make sure they get it. You’re probably doing extra with the kids, too, as well as keeping them quiet. I suppose you can tell I speak from experience!
Enjoy Ghost Whisperer!
Even though I am a UT graduate I won’t be watching the game. I just can’t stand to watch even though I went to every home game and some away games the two years I was in school there.
And congratulations on getting your son through college and out into the world. Here’s hoping he finds a job soon.
LOL, Ellen! I know what you mean. I was having a hard time on Monday when the Frogs lost to Boise State
