Crazy Heart was a great movie, still in the theaters I believe. As for the best pictures, we've already gotten in the habit of looking at the Director nominations and figuring those are the "real" best pictures.

Lori, I missed "the Dude's" latest movie, but I think Jeff Bridges is awesome. And I remember he can sing from Fabulous Baker Boys... a forgettable film, but the music was really nice.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one rolling my eyes at the District 9 inclusion. :-O

Hey Donna! So glad you enjoyed the book. Shiloh definitely represents the epitome of your typical Sonoma County town. I can think of a few that would fit.

As for the Hurt Locker, I think if I had loved ones in Iraq or Afghanistan, I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it. There's a lot of realism going on and the subject matter isn't terribly uplifting. It was a good movie, though.

And as far as next books, I've got another Blaze coming in June and am finishing off one that will be on the shelves in November. So lots coming up! Thanks for asking!

Hi Lori,

So glad to see it is your day to blog as I just finished reading Manhunting a couple of days ago. Enjoyed each story. I was trying to figure out where Shiloh is!!! :-) Love the mentions of Mendocino as it is one of my favorite places.

I can't believe you are not getting comments on your subject matter. I love movies but don't get to the theater to often as my budget is limited & I have Netflix. Love Netflix. I've been debating about seeing Precious as it looks dark & depressing. My cousin just emailed me about seeing Hurt Locker, still debating on that one! Even though I haven't seem many movies I still love watching the Oscars, seeing the beautiful dresses and more importantly seeing if the "favorites" win or something unexpected.

My laundry is ready for the dryer! Later! What is next for you in a published book?

Hey Lori, great choices you have there. I used to watch the Oscars when I was much younger, but I got over the pageantry of it all. I just want to hear the names and see who win, so I just check out the internet for that now. I really couldn't tell you when was the last time I saw it. I hope that your choices do win. I haven't seen many movies this year, but Meryl is always a pick for me, no matter what. Enjoy the rest of your day. I will check back in later.

Peace and love,
Paula R.
