Ten days and counting down!

I’m pumped!
As I write this I have ten more days to wait for the release of Possessing Morgan. I received my author copies when I returned from a tour through California in January.
Yes, we drove through downpours. (LA was a mess – they have a hard time remembering that those first rains loosen the slick oil that accumulates in the dry season)
Hearst Castle was closed because of high winds that rattled off some roof tiles. The tourist pavilion was littered with buckets to collect the rain. But the surf at San Simeon was spectacular.
And Carmel? Marvelous. Just marvelous. The storms created high waves and beautiful light and dark skies over the ocean. It’s special to see a storm approach.
None of those sights were as thrilling as holding my first Blaze. It’s a beautiful book filled with words I wrote. (G) The back cover copy is brilliant and I couldn’t have written it if I’d had a gun to my head. This captures the book exactly:
He’s everything she’s ever wanted . . .
Repo woman Morgan Swann can hardly believe it. She’s been hopelessly infatuated with headline-stealing heartthrob Kingston “Mac” McRae for most of her life . . . and now she’s in his driveway, about to repossess his fancy car. If only she could pick up the rest of him so easily . . .
Mac can’t believe, it either. His car is being stolen. . . but all he can think about is getting the sexy-as-hell Morgan into the the backseat. And their engines only rev hotter once she shows him how easily her Daisy Duke shorts come off.
It’s a sweaty, fast ride — the ultimate thrill. Until Morgan realizes she wants not only the fantasy, but the key to Mac’s heart as well.
I’m especially happy with the 4 Star review from RT BookReviews Magazine that reads:
POSSESSING MORGAN (4) by Bonnie Edwards:* Repo woman Morgan Swann loves her job. As a teenager she got into trouble for stealing cars, but she’s pulled her life together, using an early crush on playboy Kingston McRae as inspiration. She decided to make herself into someone she could imagine with him. When Morgan gets a chance to re-possess a car on his estate, she jumps at it. But not so fast. Kingston has a serious stalker who’s threatening him and those around him. When Morgan becomes entangled in his life, will either be safe? Edwards combines very hot sex with an unusual heroine to make her latest a winner.

To celebrate the upcoming release, I’m going to offer a signed copy of Possessing Morgan to one lucky commenter today. What the heck…let’s make it two!
I’ll announce the winners at approximatley 8 p.m. Eastern time…

Congratulations! Wow….Repo Woman! I love it! The story line is a quite a kick for me because I have worked at a bank and several auto delearships where “repo” was a part of the business. “Repo” Romance Rocks! (Y)
Virginia…I had a hard time getting anyone to talk to me about their recovery biz. (long story on that!) You should read my interview on Feb 17 over at http://www.toberead.wordpress.com/ about my research trials and tribulations.
But in the end, I decided the scenes at work had to be about what she thought and felt rather than the details of the business. I hope it works for you…

Hi Bonnie, big Congratulations on having your first Blaze pubbed. It must be a wonderful feeling. I love the premise of it, and I like how the h is a an alpha. Can’t wait to see how this beta, opinion totally based on the little write up from above despite his wealth, handles her. Sounds like he is in for a sweet ride.
Peace and love,
Paula R.
Oooooh sounds like I good one…I love the idea of a repo woman!!! Congrats on your release!!! I hope you have great success with it.
Congratulations on your first Blaze. Sounds like a fun book to read.
“… very hot sex….” Yup. You’ve got MY attention!!!
Thanks for the California update. You’ve reminded me of way back in 1972. My parents had taken me on vacation cross-country when we heard on the radio that our small town had had a tornado! Telephone lines were down for ages, but we finally got through to the police to find out how my older (18-year-old) brother was doing. (Fine.) Scary stuff. Glad I missed living through it (and consequent nightmares, I’m sure), but devastating to see the destruction upon our return.
I too think that seeing your first Blaze would be exciting. Way to go! I’m looking forward to checking it out further!
Laney….hot sex…yup, that’s how I “roll”. Tornadoes don’t happen where I live. Just the odd earthquake and minimal snow…lots of rain rain and more rain.
When we were away an earthquake hit off the coast of Eureka CA and when we got home (way north of there…way way north) we found a crack in a bedroom wall that hadn’t been there before we left.
I’ve been writing hot sex for years. I even had a rejection from Temptation once that read: ” the sex is great, there’s just so much of it”…I loved that one!
Eventually, the market changed in my direction and hot sex was suddenly ‘in’…ahead of my time — that’s me!

The other day I was interviewed about Possessing Morgan and some of the research I did over at another blog. People may want to check it out here from Feb 17. http://toberead.wordpress.com/
I’m so glad my car thief turned repo woman seems to have caught your attention. She had *mine* from the moment she walked onto the screen in my mind.

Hi Bonnie,
Congrats on the upcoming release of your first Blaze and on receiving your author copies. I, too, have never read a romance where the hero or heroine was a repo person.
(Y) (Y) Sounds like a winner to me. I can’t wait to read it. I have been reading back issues of Blaze here lately and in the past week have read about 3 1/2. You just can’t beat a Blaze.
(K) Morgan and “Mac” sound like a hot couple together and no doubt they will sizzle. I love it when a bad girl turns good and a good guy turns out to be one heck of a bad boy and oh so GOOD man. LOL
Sounds good, congrats on the release!
This sounds fantastic, what a premise, sounds like the sparks fly, Congrats on your release, what a thrill it must be for you!
Congrats!!! Love the sound of this book… Repo woman now that is new!
I’m so pleased a repo woman intrigues so many of you. I’ve got a book written where the heroine owns a pawn shop and a butt ugly pitbull…I like my heroines to be a little off-the-wall sometimes. Makes for interesting dialogue.
Cheers and thanks for stopping by and celebrating with me.
Bonnie
Oooh!!! Squeee!!! It’s almost time, Bonnie! How exciting to be so close to your first Blaze release! Been looking forward to this for a while now
And looking forward to getting to know your hero and heroine, up close
Any celebratory plans yet?
Bonnie,
big congrats to your first Blaze release!!!!!!! I am so happy for you
Congrats, Bonnie! There’s nothing like holding the book for the first time. BTW, Amazon is already shipping the March Blaze print books!
Heather, yes! His Little Black Book from you looks so awesome. Love the premise.
I’ve been watching (ok, trying not to be obsessive about it) the sales rank at Amazon. (not that anyone really knows how they arrive at the rank number)
What fascinates me even more is the warning that comes up when they’re down to 5 books. Possessing Morgan’s been down to 2 left in stock…back up to 3 left the next day and right now it’s back down to 2 left in stock.
These things mean nothing…but it still fascinates me. Especially since my other books are available for much longer. It would be lovely if amazon kept replenishing.
I’m going to haunt every store in town with my trusty “signing” pen and my little gold stickers that say “autographed copy”.
I guess that’ll mean I’ve “come out ” around here. LOL
Now, if I could only find my tiara and feather boa I’d be set!
Yeah, congratulations!
And I pretty much won’t be adding anything new that hasn’t already been said, but yeah, I like the sound of a repo woman; it’s new and different and sure would love to read all about it!
Lois
Congrats on your new release! I’m fascinated by your heroine. It’s an intriguing career choice and she really seems like the kind of heroine you’d like to know in real life.
Congrats on the new release. This has been on my to read list since it went up on the Harlequin ebook site, but still hasn’t been purchased. The idea of a repo woman as the heroine definitely appeals to me, but then I like unusual professions.
Lyn I enjoy unusual professions, too. I always wonder what sort of person would do a job like that. What they found appealing.
With Morgan, it was the adrenaline rush of doing recovery work.
Thanks for keeping this one on your to buy list! I so appreciate it. (L)
thanks to everyone who’s stopped by today! It’s time to pick 2 winners of an autographed copy of Possessing Morgan.
The winners are Patsy Roberts and Karyn Gerrard! (Y) (G)
Please email me at bonnie@bonnieedwards.com with your snail mail addresses. Thanks, ladies and I hope you enjoy the ride!
Bonnie
Woo Hoo! Sending you an email (H) Bonnie, you made my night!!
(G)
Thanks for the book. I can not wait to read this one. I discovered a used book store here in Lubbock that the clerk says she has some trouble at times keeping the Blazes on the shelf. I have been buying back issues there. She went from having around 6 shelves full to only 3 in the past few months. Guess I was right, Blaze is HOT!
Have a great evening Bonnie and congrats on that all important first Blaze! (Y) (Y)
I think I’m probably going to be able to hear the squee all the way out here when the official release happens. I’m so happy for you. And a repo girl. Character after my own heart, that!
Well NM, you know how I love me my cars. :))
My very very first book, a Precious Gem had a heroine who sold used cars. She was a pistol! Showed up in a 65 Mustang convertible cursing a blue streak. That book was from 2000…seems like a decade ago.
Oh, wait, it is. (already!)
Bonnie
Big congrats Patsy and Karyn!
Congrats Patsy & Karyn! (*)
