Hello all! I’d like to introduce myself. Sure, many of you know me as Jade Lee, writer of hot historicals and hotter still contemporaries with an Asian influence. But that is NOT who I am! I’m actually Jade’s hotter, younger, way more fun alter ego…Kathy Lyons. Yes, as Jade moved away from Asian influences, Harlequin asked her to take a new pseudonym to reflect that mainstream America feel. And voila…Kathy Lyons was born. She even has a website! Kathy’s first Blaze is coming out in April. Under His Spell is about a burned out executive, Nicky Taylor, who is forced on stage during a hypnotism act. But once she goes under, her mind refuses to come up. She likes hanging out in her imaginary island with the hypnotist who worships her as a sexual goddess. Sadly, she has to come up eventually, and the sparks that fly afterwards were a blast to write. As well as the more interesting fantasy scenes. Until I started writing this book, I had no idea what erotic playlands lurked in my creative mind. I might have even surprised my editor! (Brenda will have to comment to tell us all if I managed to surprise even her).
In any event, Jimmy Ray is up to the task of not only fulfilling all Nicky’s forbidden fantasies. He’s also able to rescue her from her overburdened life, help her find balance, and oh yes, show her that there can be love between a sexual goddess and her hypnotist. Even better, their island playground can’t compare to the joy they find in each other as Nicky and Jim.

Good morning! Well congrats on Kathy’s first Blaze! As for romantic getaways, somewhere warm and tropical like Fiji or Bora Bora. Or maybe a a romantic trip around Europe. Spain, Italy, Greece and Paris. Maybe even Australia which I have come to love and really want to see by reading Sarah Mayberry’s books. But truthfully at this moment a romantic getaway would be anything that my hubby and I could do without the kids, lol!

Welcome, Kathy…How funny…I have enjoyed your “Jade Lee’ books. Where would I go? Do I have to take someone or can I go alone (my husband is in the middle of busy season and he’s really grumpy). Let’s see: Tahiti, Seychelles, Paris, London, Greek Islands, Rome, Galapagos, Cook Islands, Hawaii and then an African Safari. Love my husband, but I think I’ll leave him home. LOL.

My ultimate romantic getaway would be to a movie theater, exclusively just for my hubby and I, drinking wine, with cheeses, grapes, crakers, watching a sappy romantic movie, and making out with him in the darkened theater. That would be so much fun! Takes me back to my days when we were dating.

My ultimate romantic getaway would be to a beach house on a secluded tropical island.
Ooh…love all these getaways. As for me,…I’m a city girl. I want a hotel in Manhattan and to visit a different Broadway play every night.
I would want to go wherever there’s a beach. I’d love there to be sun and warmth, with lots of fruity beach drinks. Non-stop eating of seafood on the patio of our secluded bungalow on the beach too. And I’m not picky on where the beach is….could be Hawaii or somewhere in the South Pacific. As long as it’s relaxing.
There are all these really great places along the Pacific coast in Washington and Oregon that are perfect getaways. It’s even better in the winter when you can storm watch and how romantic to be cozy inside in front of a fireplace with some wine and your love listening to the storm outside. Plus most of these places don’t have TVs or phones or internet access so you can truly get away.
Congrats on your Blaze Release! (F) As for my choice of getaway, I would go to a winter resort and spend time in front of a roaring fireplace!

My romantic getaway would be a castle or quaint little cottage somewhere in Ireland. Long walks to enjoy the scenery, not much else but just being together…. If it only came with a hot fella with a sexy accent as well, lol
Congratulations on your first “Kathy”! “Under His Spell” sounds delightfully wicked : ) I have recently really surprised myself with a desire to visit France. To enjoy Paris, the wine country, the art, the opera, the food and etc! How terrific it would be to make the journey with a charming companion who had the same interests. If he was fluent in French, tall, masculine and courtly, so much the better. If he was all those things, plus spoke French in a deep, sensual voice….je ne regrette rien (I regret nothing)!

Well…the only way to get more Asian couples is to buy Asian books. I too was glad that I was able to write Asian couples, but Kathy Lyons was created to be specifically NOT ethnic. If you want more Asian influence, you can always look at my single title historicals, especially the Tigress series. Dorchester is reprinting the books (yeah!) so, start with White Tigress and enjoy! Hmmm…romantic getaway. Well, I always say a Silk Road tour in China to which hubby goes absolutely pale (limited German palate, weak stomach). I think we’re going to settle on a Grand Canyon trip in the exotic wilds of Arizona.

Just read ‘Under your spell”. It was great I loved it, in fact it could become my number one romance book. I have been reading romance books since my teens so there is a lot of years and books in the intervening time lol. It was just a really unique story with great dialog, I love when you can really immerse yourself in each character and how they flirt with each other. I can’t miss out how hot the ‘blaze’ scenes were!!!
