Must Read Now!!!

My must-read-NOW pile has gotten out of control. I’m not talking about my to-be-read pile. No, we’re ignoring the floor to ceiling stacks (really. I’m not lying here) of paperbacks found my bedroom, office, and two bathrooms. Those are books that I picked up because they looked interesting, or someone gave them to me, or I got them at conference for one reason or another. And I’m definitely not talking about the three boxes of books that I haven’t yet unpacked from the Romantic Times conference last month. (Or the two more from last year’s RWA). No, I’m talking about the books that I’m dying to read. So much so that I start salivating whenever I think about them.
First off, I’m a finalist judge in the RITA awards. I’m judging the regency era historicals and you can see the list here. There’s not a book on that list that isn’t good, if not excellent. I’m enjoying reading them, and I’m not done yet. They’re due soon, so I must read them now.
Next is Jim Butcher’s Changes which I bought in hardcover and has been taunting me for a month now. It’s one of his Dresden books, and I love the series! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Love it, love it, love it! I’ve even bought all the Dresden comics. But I can’t read it until I finish the RITA books.
Also up there tied with Dresden, is PC and Kristin Cast’s book Burned which is right now burning a hole into my Kindle until I can read it. I love the House of Night books, and this is from a woman who really doesn’t get into vampire books. This is a great series!

I’ve been wanting to read the PC Cast series for ages, and for not yet released…the new Stephanie Plum novel Sizzling Sixteen tops my can’t wait to read list
I can’t wait to read Jane Porter’s SHE’S GONE COUNTRY. Her books are always a hit.
I haven’t read any of your books yet, but “Burned” sounds really good!
Well, I do want to read Under His Spell, but I also want to read Vicki Lewis Thompson’s Blonde With A Wand and Chick With A Charm. Every time I went out to buy them I couldn’t find them in the store. So, I guess I’ll have to order online.
I want to read the Kate Lyons’ book (guess I need to buy it first!). That’s on my to-do list.
I’ve had GETTING PHYSICAL on my to-buy list for a bit now, but I haven’t seen it. (I don’t buy online.) Stephen sounds really sexy!
I’m also watching for Sandra Hyatt’s third book, HIS BRIDE FOR THE TAKING, which is due out June/10. I really enjoyed her first two books and am surprised by this, as usually I like SOME of an author’s books but not ALL. Of course, this IS only her third, but I AM curious nevertheless!
I am dying to read the next Feral Warrior Novel by Pamela Palmer, Rapture Untamed, out in July, also Lisa Kleypas new one Married by Morning. And I hear you about the TBR piles, I have them all over the house, plus a box of used romances I got last summer I haven’t even checked out yet!
I’m looking forward to VLT’s new series coming out in Juneau. I’m reading Presents Dark Hearted Desert Men and really enjoying them, so the next in the series are from Trish Morey and Annie West. And then Jane Porter’s August release, She’s Gone Country.
Hi Jade! I have a list of books to read a mile long, and Im constantly adding to it! I would love to read PC Cast’s books. My Mom has read them and loves them. And being the Twilight freak that I am, Im really look forward to the release of “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella.” which comes out in June. The way I see it is I will never be with out something to read if I keep adding, lol!

I also forgot to mention Im also looking for the next book in the Sword Of Truth Series by Terry Goodkind. Its set to come out early next year. I love this series and am so excited for the 13th book in it!!!
You are the best! I have to say, I loved writing that book. It was GREAT FUN! And now I’m revising my November Taking Care of Business. Same vein as the first–corporate America discovers sex play and falls in love in the process. Wow, do I LOVE writing for Blaze!
Oh I am so looking forward to reading NO WEREWOLVES ALLOWED BY Cheyenne McCray… loved reading her first Night Tracker Novel… and of course who would not be excited about the new upcoming Blaze books!!!
Stephenie Meyer’s Eclipse novella will definitely be a must-read for me, as well as the upcoming second adult novel from Ann Brashares, and always, Blaze books.
Jade- Have read you Getting Physical…Loved IT!!! Because of all my new Harlequin books that I am always buying..old ones I pick up at resale shopes…. and my monthly Readers Choice collections, I have a back up. I still have Jodi Picoult’s House Rules to read, plus all my Johanna Lindsey novels one of my good friends wants me to read. I am greatful my summer vacation from school is only two days away, so I can put a dent in these books and the others to come these next few months. I have a list two pages long of new ones I need to buy soon. I am greatful for all the book store gift cards from the students. It will help to add to these stacks of books. I’m dying to read Shannon McKenna’s new release “Fade to Midnight.”
Well, I’m dying to read anything that is not my geology textbook. LOL Yeah, okay, should have remembered why I never liked the idea of a summer college class (ah, because it’s all smashed in and stuff), so been doing lots with that. So, I just tend to took at it that I’m dying to read the book I’m officially reading. At present, that is A Duke to Die for by Amelia Grey. Though I did get a lot in this morning since professor lady was late. . .

Morgan Llywelyn’s Brendan has been calling to me from my end table for weeks waiting for me. I am a huge fan of hers, devouring most of her backlist already. Irish history at its best.
I’m annoyed that my TBR pile seems to have eaten one book I’ve been dying to get my hands on. I know I bought Parke Godwin’s Sherwood, but I think it’s been sucked into a literary black hole. grumble.
I’m also glomming all the time travel, especially medievals, I can get my hands on. And anything Robin Hood related.
